Good cover man.

There's no depth perception on a 2D screen so I can't see if you're barring or just playing the power chords, and if you hit the B/B all the time. For example, at :26 it sounds better if I just play an AB5 without hitting the bottom three strings. At 2:18, I find it sounds better if I just play a full F#.
I should be able to get it though, I just gotta keep hammering away.
Thanks for all your help so far, it's a great cover

@ia5662 Wow, thanks for the reply man, especially so fast. Yeah, "down" to B. I can't believe I missed that.
That has just made things so much easier. I actually can play a good portion of the song on my electric (I need a new high E on my acoustic... ahem... my bad) but there's still a few things I gotta get down.
I actually figured out the intro/chorus right away, and playing the A makes the opening sound beautiful... it's the rest of the song I feel I'm not 100% right.

Awesome man!!! Congrats!!! I wish the Goos would play this tune live [Dreamer Mode]

@Zac6230 nice! I wonder if anyone has video of that, would like to hear what it sounds like live from the band itself.
Not sure if yer still answering questions, but what the hell gauge are your strings that you can tune your high E to a B? I snapped my string before getting anywhere near there....
Was really hoping to learn this song but having trouble figuring out which strings you're strumming. Full strumming the song sounds pretty awful.
Really great cover, I'll be spending my time trying to get this one down.

@njl4515 haha I know your problem already, you tuned UP instead of DOWN! That'll def. break that string quick if you go up, I actually tuned it down to B. Just essentially match the pitch of your actual B string and you'll be fine. It establishes a great droning effect and it's the closest I think I've heard in terms of sounding just like the song. Johnny R loves crazy tunings, so it doesn't surprise me that he'd do that. It's simple, but very effective.

PS for the intro riff (and chorus), strum from the D string down, you don't need the bass strings for that. For a fuller sound playing it acoustic without a band, I actually put my first pointer finger up and bar the A string which accounts for my fuller sound at 0.19 it just fills out the sound better, but Johnny never does that. I block the thick E string by just pushing my index finger gently up into it (it mutes it) so I can rock a strong, full strum without bad notes.
