I've owned a 1977 one of these and went all over in it, always reliable and easy to repair when it did have a problem. You could do loads of work on these with very little technical knowledge. I set up the twin carbs and lowered the rear leaf springs. Mine had the four spoke polished RS rims. I wish I still had her.

Thanks very much for the pictures. Now I know what i'm looking for, They dont have the red stirpe down the sides of the grey like the brown seats have.. Is there lots of parts still available in SA? Can't find Sport specific parts here like the seats and the Sport dash logo but I will keep looking.

Would it be possible to upload a video or pictures of the interior as I have bought a escort sport in red but it has a brown interior :-( and yours appears to be black.. Just wondered what the pattern is like as I would like to get the seats reupholstered to original black spec. Can't find pictures of a black sport interior anywhere.. Many thanks

Here's the link to the picture album I uploaded when we had it on ebay.co.uk for a while, interior is stock, hence it being a little dirty, but new foams have been fitted to perk the seats up again.

Yes we still have it, but we have been looking to sell it to continue an Alfa Romeo GT Junior project that we've started, we're just waiting for the right buyer, the prices offered haven't quite been enough to let it go.

No, engine is about as original as can be with only a few parts having needed to be reconditioned or replaced. Ps; the english was fine!
