this happened to me, i work in tesco, and i was given a scottish £10 and i was like umm .... i dont know if ....... uhh ... then this scottish man from the other queue next to me came over and said that!!! i couldnt stop laughing when i thought of this!! aaahahaha

@G1NZOU They aren't even legal in Scotland... English bank notes of denomination less than 5UKP were legal tender in Scotland under Currency and Bank Notes Act 1954. Now, with the removal of BoE 1UKP notes, only coins constitute legal tender in Scotland. English bank notes are only legal tender in England, Wales, The Channel Islands + the Isle of Man. In Scotland, £1 coins are legal tender to any amount, 20ps + 50ps are legal tender up to 10 pounds; 10p + 5ps to 5 pounds & 2p + 1p coins to 20p
