Switchback Straps are relatively easy to make. Still they're useful and they look really cool—two good things in my book. To add a little something extra to the strap I included instructions for how to make them adjustable. Video Production by JD of Tying It All Together.

  • I really like your video's! Maybe it would be a great idea to add the length of the "para" cord needed for each of your knots!

  • @MusicMakesLife77 - Cord Used 4:20

  • Awesome vid... soon as you started tying it it made sense never realized it was that easy will have to give it a try thanks for the great vids and is the book out yet?

Knot book isn't out yet (likely available in late summer). My second novel, "Disturbingly Normal", was released last week though.

  • Super easy to follow, even without dialogue!!

Thanks so much for this vid! :)

  • Just watched your video to make a necklace for my neck knife. Came out great, thanks.

  • @jmadden98 answered my own question. Double switchback. thanks.

  • Can you do that in two colors?

  • It took me about 1 hour and 1/2 to get it the right length and tightness, but it is my first complete TIAT knot!

  • TIAT....I just finished my first REAL survival bracelet using the switchback knot. I chose this knot for the easy quick deployment it offers. In about 5 seconds I can have 11 feet of 550 paracord at my disposal. Thanks JD, I'm just getting started but TIAT is the one stop channel for anyone wanting to do cool and USEFUL projects with knots. Oh, I made a Celtic knot on one end and made an improvised loop on the other to make the bracelet. Thanks again Bro!!!

  • How do you tighten it, because each loop thing is very loose..and it doesn't look good? Any ideas

    Please Answer

  • Great paracord bracelet instruction. Do you have a formula to determine length of cord needed for a small, medium or large bracelet (example: x number of feet for each strand in the bracelet?). Just so we don't cut more paracord than actually needed.

  • nice,i used 3 weaving yarn and spliced them to make 1 line which looks like a chord, then used ur techniuqe,it turned out rockin......
