I BELIEVE this was her last 45 RPM Single for M-G-M Records.
They should have kept her on - this was one of her nicest songs, albeit seldom
heard.

@wrdane It sounds a bit different for me too nlike a bit slower and lower.. or maybe because of the turntable's speed. She sounds great here.

To me it sounds slightly different than the version released on the Souvenirs boxed set. But it may just be me!

Prefer the italian version but this distinctive women voice let me love it too ! I heard first by Bobby Solo and Nicola de Baril both italian men.

Thank sooo much, gaychild, for posting this. I still can't help shedding tears listening to Nicola di Bari singing Zingara, and get goosebumps with Iva Zanichi's version, but I didn't know this one in English. I keep thinking of the man who would love so much a woman as to say this words to a gypsy from the heart...
