In the rain, and all extreme weather conditions, the horses are forced to work 9 hrs. plus, tied down from head to hoof and then sleep in stables to small to turn around without proper bedding.

Do you think that the drivers want to be in the bad weather? They were probably headed back to the stable these people do not work their horses in extreme weather they care for their horses, because if anything happened to them they would loose their living As for their stalls I have personally seen the stable the stalls are big enough for them to walk around and lay down if they wanted too and the bigger horses like Percheron have double the size stalls and they have straw bedding, which is nice.

So what's the problem?? You people who post this"abuse" crap now nothing about horses. They are highly intelligent animals and as a result get bored. They need a job. I work 8 to 12 hours a day as a contractor. Am I "abused???"
We have mule drawn carriages here in New Orleans because they do better in the heat. They are highly regulated by the LSPCA. They work 3 months then get 3 months at the farm. They can only work 7 hours at a time and only 5 shifts a week. They have it better than I do!

THE PEOPLE MAKING THE VIDEOS AGAINST THE CARRIAGES DONT EVEN OWN HORSES. IT IS FUNNY TO WATCH THEM LOOKING STUPID, AND MAKING THESE DUMB VIDEOS. IT SHOWS THE PUBLIC JUST HOW IGNORANT THE ANIMAL ACTIVESTS ARE.

Horses Energy levels go up when its cold Acctualyl PETA and or heart for animal rights. and where do you think all the horses are going smart ass, to the stables, which i have visited and they are fine and they do have proper beddinGg.

These horses are fine, actually. Cold, wet weather doesn't affect horses like humans. Horses can loft and lower their coats- even when wet, to 17 levels and temperatures. Horses are not in 'neutral' temperature-wise until it's in the low 30's. Hotter than that, they're using energy to cool themselves; lower than that, they're using energy to heat themselves. Horses do not chill easily, especially when moving- even at a walk. None of these horses indicate that they are unhappy or suffering .

Actually, it is kind of a neat video, a bit distorted frame wise.
