Mysterious Beauty by Casual Dave (Hawaiian Slide original)

Here's a little ditty for ya! A Hawaiian style slide instrumental tune I wrote a few years back. A little gift for my subscribers. Not too many channels you'll get something like this. That's not to sound cocky but if you do a search for Hawaiian slide, most of what you get back are peoples vacation slide shows.(for real:)

The tuning is DADF#BD if you want to try it on for size. Just drop your E's to D and the G to F#

Love the slide! I know we have one somewhere... I may have to get it out and give it a try! This tune kind of has a "psychedlic Hawaiian" feel to it! (PS--Love the lamp too! And you scared me a bit at the end! Ha!)

Thank you much, Leesha! just got a new camcorder with night vision and had to try it :) and yeah, give sliding a try, I'd suggest the dropped G tuning DGDGBD to start, and if you can't find the slide a lighter(bic's are best), bottle, even a knife will work

Does any1 know what other musicians use this sliding style? I'm interested in the Hawaiian sound more than anything. Been going thru another 1 of my phases lately & it started the moment I heard Bruce Kaplan's tune called "Homage (Pour La Grande Fromage)" from his "Slider" album. I can't get enuf of that sound nor can I get it out of my head, lol.  Phases and cravings can really become obsessive sometimes ;-) Thanks in advance!! AC
