@GanzLONDON For that we are going to use cellulose thinners, right out the can.......
-
A dust mask is essential when using a powered wire brush! Rust is toxic when inhaled. Been there. Done that. Didn't like it! ;o)
-
you are a PALL ! Thanks !

@GanzLONDON cellulose thinners, :-)
-
could rust converter do the same thing??
-
I slipped with the wire brush today while I was removing rust and brushed my finger :(
-
Inspiring.
-
Cellulose thinners? I guess white spirit will do same job?
I have a "scrubbing pad" that comes as an attachment for the drill too - works well, slower of course, but a wee bit less harsh than the wire brush.

Do you have turps?

Hi James
Bloody good question.
Not a lot you can do if there is any. When i have the time i may pour some waxoil automotive rust killer and preventer down the tubes and drain it out leaving a coating, however i had a look as best i could and couldn't really see any rust but there must be some there.
I just hope it is ok when flying down hills. My mate is buying an endoscope so i may use that to have a proper look.
