The CORPORATE media in America is one of the worst in the world. There are THOUSANDS of issues that go unreported. They are NOT journalists by any stretch.Look at the SHOWS!

For DAYS on end, they spoke of what PALIN needs to do at the debate & had their "experts" on.They have turned OUR news into a SOAP OPERA. They clearly can't walk & chew gum. I can't stand the CORPORATE media. NO substance!

That IS the point. There IS no more exclusive liberal-biased "MSM" any more, ala Howell Raines's old NY Times, & the old NBC News headed by Tom Brokaw, or the old CBS Evening News post-late in his career -Cronkite & then Rather, w/ their liberal slant. Now the voices of the blogoshere, & the citizen reporters of Iran killed in the streets sending the only media that was getting to the outside world, ARE the NEW MAJOR MEDIA, not just what some lib-shill (like Cenk) TELLS us what *should be* news!

"Our Media is broken"-straight from the mouth of the #1crashing & flailing around goon who thinks the media is a "China Shop", which he was put here to somehow "save". In fact, we now have the most vibrant & diverse "media" in at least the last 70 yrs. or more w/ the internet, facebook, & twitter leading the way. You sir, no longer have the lock on it, & that frankly scares the living hell out of you. And free, decent people wouldn't have anything to do w/ how you'd JUST LOVE to "fix" it.

The only reason theyre neutral is because they want to appeal to more people. If they do what Fox does, then theyd only get Republican viewership or vice versa. If they just call everything a tie and refuse to do any investigation at all, then they can win over both audiences, thus allowing them to make more money from advertisers.

This is what capitalism does. It destroys people's morality by replacing it with money. Wolf Blitzer would probably do a good job if he weren't a total sell-out.

I think that Cenk's right, but this isn't really the problem.

Of course Networks are going to have some slant, whether it be extreme or slight. But, this is how they are funded and structured.

I believe that the American people themselves have the most accountability by taking lazy approaches to politics.

People choosing one source of information and basing their whole philosophies off it leads to an all-around sense of ignorance and hostility towards each other.

Debates become arguments.

CNN is obviously a propaganda machine for any administration of the united states, be it Repubs or Dems. Their cast is full of washington insiders like Wolf Blitzer that are apt to fall in line with any administrations behind the scene activities made invisible by fake news. Given that they are on 24 hours a day and need to make money for their advertisers by ratings it doesnt seem unimaginable that they would over embellish the news just to get their ratings up. CNN PROPAGANDA AT ITS BEST!!!

Sounds like we agree, I am just saying 'we' get dumber everyday but can't say how dumb we are at any one moment in time. It's too subjective to try to nail down but we can all agree the direction is bad.
