The Australian Blues guitar prodigy Nathan Cavaleri, about 10 years old, live on stage, side by side with a living legend : Steve Cropper and Booker T. and the MG's ! Amazing !! One of the greatest Blues prodigies ever !
About 1991/92. Exactly date and location of shooting are unknown.
Nathan Cavaleri not only demonstrates his skills on the guitar, he also shows his ability to really
play live 'together' with a band, like a professional.

Between the age of 10 and 12, Nathan Cavaleri released two professional albums : "Jammin' with the Cats" and "nathan" . A 'must have' for every Blues and Jazz enthusiast !! Visit the Discography video !

Till today, after more than 18 years, Nathan Cavaleri's abilities on the Blues guitar at this extremely young age are absolutely unique. He was not one of these usual shredders, he always played with feeling, taste and restraint. Nathan Cavaleri mastered the Blues techniques like bending and vibrato, and mixed minor and major pentatonic scales like a professional, so that he was able to play even Jazz tunes. Robben Ford and Stevie Ray Vaughan had a great influence on him.

Nathan acquired most of his skills on the guitar during his painful years as a Leukaemia patient. Please, look at the "talking about Leukaemia " video.

I think, this should be unforgotten. That's why i have posted this video.
Enjoy!

  • check out Nat Col and the Kings.....he keeps getting better!!!!

  • I saw this kid (probably an adult now) play back in the early 90's at Shoreline. He looked like a little midget, like Chucky, but he jammed. I just remembered thinking, how is this kid reaching the notes? He had a full size guitar!? I have a hard time, and here this little fricken midget is running up and down the board with a guitar that was as long as he was tall? Little bastard almost made me want to quit playing.

  • Just awesome.
