Quick run through of my pack for a 3 day winter, backpacking trip. Temps dropped down to about 20F both nights. Shelter was a REI halfdome carried in by someone else. I did my part & toted it out : )

This was my loadout on the "Backpacking Svagae Gulf" video.

I almost didn't post this as I thought it would be redundant to some of my other videos, but threw it up anyways. I hope it's of interest.

Thanks for watching & take care

  • I love the what's in my pack vids. I have that same emergency blanket. You said it got a lot of use. What type of uses did you get out of it this trip?...Dash

  • @mrriprock2 Hey Dash well the tarp/space blanket served as a seat around the fire, rug to change cloths on, firewood cover, pack cover at night & tablecloth while cooking a couple of meals. It just made it easier to stay out of the damp, muddy ground. Take care

  • hey, I thought anything other than a pocketknife was a luxury item. Thanks for showing your gear!

  • @usframe It is for tough guys like the usframe crew : )

  • I have exactly the same pillow and space blanket. I like it :o) I don't take toothpaste in the winter. It freezes...haha! Just a tooth brush :o) Nice setup brother! I like your pack :o)That's nice!

  • @Ggreenvideos Thanks brother, my toothpaste did alright, but the wet wipes froze up on me at the worst time : ) That's what I get for leaving them out.

  • I think it us good to see what other take when going backpacking. It gives an idea it two what one maybe forgetting or what to leave at Home. Since my first trip out, I have learned what I can live without and still have a great time. Great video and thanks...

  • Thanks for the loadout vid---you're fast, I watched twice :)

After using Corona folding saws for years, 'no-fun' type hard use, I'm convinced with one of those and a hand ax you could build a 3-bedroom ranch in a week.

  • Great load out brother .... Take care and keep safe!

  • Well this dang video makes me want to go camping. LadyLobo says it's too cold lol. She really doesn't like the cold. We got the REI Halfdome 2 plus. We really like it so far. What are your thoughts on the tent?

  • Good stuff.

  • great to see what others put in their pack.

  • @CampfireTalk not really, all I can carry is a knife. I start out with a full pack and drop items every couple hundred yds as I tire ;)
