READ FIRST!
This was inspired by a quote from the book "Nineteen-eighty four" by George Orwell. The main character, Winston, says it to his lover Julia when she asks about being caught and confessing to each others crimes, (affairs of any kind, love or not, were forbidden).
It reads;
"Confession is not betrayal. What you say and do doesn't matter. Only feelings matter. If they could make me stop loving you. That would be the real betrayal."
I chose this quote because I honestly believe Rose's love for The Doctor would've eventually faded, but yet remain intact because she was with him anyway.
*ALSO, look! NINE! :D*
========================
STORY:
Rose Tyler is in love with The Doctor. She has always been in love with The Doctor. She'll be in love with him forever.

But will she be in love with him after that?

The Doctor leaves Rose behind in the Other Earth, with her Doctor. A Doctor to call her own. However, as the months pass, Rose becomes estranged from this Doctor. The human Doctor fears she is falling out of love with him. But in fact, it's the opposite.

She is falling out of love with The Doctor, the other Doctor. She tries to think of him, the way they were. When her tongue, her hands and thoughts were enough to reaffirm her love for him. But the biggest thing between two people in love, bigger even than the universe, is a third presence between them.

Rose fears being without The Doctor, and she knows that he will never grow old with her. But now she's with a new Doctor, a human Doctor, Rose feels herself already detatching from The Doctor towards this new self. She is now without The Doctor, and with the human Doctor and she is very much in love with him.

He is the man she fell in love with, and yet he isn't.

Sometime later, The Doctor returns to Bad Wolf Bay. Rose meets him at the beach and he asks her to come with him. But all Rose can think of is her Doctor. And she could never leave him.

The final audio is The Doctor realising she's not in love with him anymore, in case that wasn't clear xD
==============================
TRANSCRIPT:
Rose: "You can't..." "But he's not you!"

The Doctor: "Does it need saying?"

Rose: "When I last stood on this beach, on the worst day of my life. What was the last thing you said to me?" "Am I ever going to see you again?"

The Doctor: "You can't."

Rose: "And you, Doctor? What was the end of that sentence?" "I love you!"

The Doctor: "Come with me."

Rose: "I can't."

The Doctor: "You're not...?"

Rose: "I'm sorry."

The Doctor: "Don't go..."

  • Love this video! I really, really love the song you chose. It's beautifully edited with good pacing and dramatic tension. If I have one teensy criticism it's that some of the voice overs are a little quiet and difficult to hear over the music. That said, I love the ones you chose! Overall, truly excellent, thanks so much for sharing this with us!

  • @KittyNightfox Yes... that was a bit of a problem. xD They were louder in the editing, but once rendered became quieter. But I'm so glad you thought it well paced AND DRAMATIC!! :D My biggest fear was that it might be boring! I feel so much better now! Thank you for the amazing comment!!!

  • @AsarathWitch Boring!! There's no way this is boring, not even close! It's one I'll keep coming back to watch over n over. I've been combing through so many Doctor Who fanvids over the past several months and in my opinion, you are one of the top 3 videographers I've come across.

    (Considering all the spare time I've had lately. that is saying something ;-)

  • @KittyNightfox Awwww, you really are so very sweet! ^^ And that's an AMAZING compliment! Thank you! x

  • I have been in love with this song for so long, as also made the connection between it and Doctor/Rose/Human Doctor. So seeing this now...I'm very emotional over it. It's better than anything I "vidded" in my head, if that makes sense. (Though in my version, I don't know if Rose would ever be forced to decide again; it's too cruel!) I LOVE the "there one was a time I was sure of the bond" parts, especially the third one, as Nine slowly pulls away from Rose after kissing her. It was so powerful.

  • @gigo518 I've wanted to work with this song for so long, it's a truly beautiful song. ^^ I'm so glad that the emotion I tried to portray influenced you. That's what's vidding is all about. Expression of emotion! :D And yes, it was very cruel to bring The Doctor back to her. But I needed her to decide, to prove a point. Cruel as it was. xD And I'm so glad you enjoyed the chorus! They were my favourie parts to vid. It was brilliant to use Nine as well. :D

  • @CrazyBoutBillie Too much thought! xD This video took wayyyyyyy too long! But I'm so glad you felt the thought that went into it. And appreciated it!!! :D The quotes I thought added a bit more, seeing as I felt the video was a bit boring xD But I'm so thrilled you thought it looked polished instead! :D You're comment has really put a HUGE smile on my face!! :D THANK YOU! x
