When I was 15 I heard a bit of this in a commercial just before the Olympics and it instantly drew me in. I never liked sports but I fell madly in love with the Olympic Games and Philip Glass. There is no greater spectacle in the world than the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics. "The Olympian" by Glass still gives me goose bumps all over and brings me back to that magical '84 Olympics - which, in my opinion, has never been matched since.

To bad that the enormous production planned for the 84 Olympics, "Civil Wars" never happened, it was produced by Glass and Wilson who put in a tremendous amount of work on the project.
