They've been portrayed as villains by the mass media, even as terrorists. But humanitarian groups say their actions have to be put into perspective.
Somalia is one of the poorest countries in the world. It has not had a strong central government since 1991.

Lies and liars. Somalia is far from being one of the poorest countries..it is a country that can easily be self-sufficient and has a small population and very long coast and large livestock. If Somalians have been so poors, why are they so tall and well-built? Lack of meat and milk maybe? It is a war torn country but you Westerners like to make Africans believe that they are poor. If Somalia is poor, why do your countries come to fish in our seas?

This was the objectives of the west funding these so called pirates anyway, they always wanted a unified naval blockade to further violate the numerous treaties with Somalia and Ethiopia. These treaties stipulated a payment from each ship to both nations.The wahabists also fund El Shebab in Somalia to further join the west in dividing Somalia to further cripple them in a game of divide and conquer. Sadly, the Somalians had one of the most pro feministgovernments in the world lost a great model.
