Crisp Titanium BB30 Post weld boring process

This is a BB30 post weld bore. It is necessary to make two concentric circles in the shell which will accept the compression fit bottom bracket bearings. Crisp Titanium shells are fabricated with surplus material to resist distortion caused by welding heat buildup. The final post-weld boring process takes off this material and makes a perfect 41.96mm diameter for the bearings, thus assuring concentricty and correct and efficient bearing action.
