They should bring it back in Google+, and use the webcam to detect and analyze the user's facial expression and project that onto the avatar. That would even make eye contact possible in a conversation across the internet... something that's impossible in a video conversations.

Hey google, the only reason this wasn't really popular is because you didn't advertise it. Me and my friends only heard about it in its final days and had a blast. We were talking about the best online chatrooms and this came first.

I don't think they bring this back because it's not their "core business" (search). And it's a lot of work to maintain this sort of games, and they don't earn money directly from it, making it a money and effort/waster. See Warcraft you have to pay for this each month. It looks good and i think it can be a lot of fun, but with no earnings you can't keep a game like this running for ever.
