This is a 1992 television commercial for the GM branded Saturn car company. This was early enough in Saturn's new life as a GM brand that it was attempting to capture the younger buyer as they were the "different" car company.

  • @cmlbeatlefreak and yeah u must be a rusty car beacause the never rust ur a yugo

  • @cmlbeatlefreak troll busters! :D

  • Yeah, too bad they SUCK

  • '

    no no thank,,,

    i dont like this car

  • @booyahbd i had 92 sl2. 2 years running and 5 pin on pavement. haha

  • @booyahbd Now, if these cars came with the ECOtec engines and there transmissions, they would have been one of the most bad ass cars out there. And with the aftermarket the ECOtecs have, the power potentials would have been endless for these cars. Add in some good brakes, ARM coil overs and sticky tires and rims... damn near race ready after that. I wish I could have bought one of these new, they still are my favorite s series cars.

  • @FirebirdDude They burned a lot of oil and had more headgasket issues than most, but otherwise they were great. The diff pin would come out and destroy many things very quickly if you were rough on it. I know I drove mine for about 10k miles and didn't have a single issue, in fact it was pretty much the same car that rolled off the showroom floor at 130k miles save for fluids, an upgraded AC system, plugs, and a battery.

  • @booyahbd I've always heard people say that they were happy with the reliability of their Saturn's engine. Don't know much about the exploding differential problem though.

  • @FirebirdDude If they put large engines in these cars they would've been absolutely amazing. The S Series had an excellent chassis (full independent suspension, front and rear disk brakes, front and rear swaybars). If they would've made these sub-2500 pound vehicles with a proper engine/transmission they would have been legendary. Unfortunately they were ruined by less reliable engines and exploding differentials :(
