You know, the strangest thing about the Manson girls is thier polite demenor. I think that goes for all of them.

Most murderers look and sound like crazed maniacs. But all the Manson girls look and sound like sunday school teachers.

People seem to forget that there is a thing called "free will." Many posters are saying that the drugs did it. I'm sure that 300 acid trips in two years had to play a huge role in how fucked up she they were, but they made the choices to: Interact with Manson (a clear nut job), fuck Manson (knowing all the other girls were too), take all the drugs, never leave, never report anything to the police, kill 8 people, and laugh about it in front of the families. Those were all choices they made.

Susan Atkins husband didn't do his research very well as evidenced by the objection's he made to Stephen Kay's reference to the Oregon state trooper and tasting Sharon Tate's blood. He makes himself look incompetent.

Is evil something genetic or was it acquired when Susan Atkins met Charles Manson? Was her brain poisoned or contaminated by mind altering or controlling drugs or was she brainwashed by Manson? If she was truly repentent and remorseful for her dastardly deeds and was a born again Christian, she would have been ashamed to be applying for early release.

It might be amuzing to know how the people who speak so ill of the Manson family might act if they themselves had experienced 300 acid trips. One legal defense for any crime is insanity. And LSD was developed for medical use in the 1960's because it simulates various types of insanity on a temporary basis. What she did under the influence of a mind altering drug is utterly trivial in comparison to what the W Bush admin did in Iraq. Why are they still walking around free?

It's so wrong that all these killers were and are still eligible for parole. They commited one of the must gruesome crimes in history, they killed innocent people in such a brutal way - and still they are given the chance to get out of prison. It's also such a torture for the family members to always hear again and again those horrific details of the murders. Why don't they just stop with this?
