The MB:s handle extremely well.. but they are calibrated for autobahn use not track use. Some people tend to drive more on normal roads than on tracks.. The only thing that MB handles less good then BMS is fast transitions from one side to another. MB:s don't want to shift direction as easily as the BMW:s due to caster angle and other built in geometrics. On the other hand that gives the MB better stability in a straight line. Less "nervous" and more relaxed handling. Most people don't get this.

I mean camber.

Again. A big caster angle is for straight line stability. That's why MB has 5-12 deg of it. Very high. It also creates camber when turning the wheels which is good for grip in corners. But you can create camber in other ways also. The caster is for straight line. It means that the stearing pivot axis is tilted backwards.. like on a HD fx (very visible). A shopping cart has negative caster. And look how the wheels wobble.Don't want that in your MB on the Autobahn trust me:)

@m96gran 0 deg caster angle produces understeer when turning.. a good recipe for a car that can turn is rear wheel drive, 50/50 weight distribution (49/51 in the case of my benz), caster angle and stiffer suspension.. now about the stiffer suspension, Mercedes doesn't have this in all their cars bc they know their owners don't want that including me, I'd rather want a car with that recipe without the stiff springs as long as I get the comfort

@m96gran You're comparing two wheels with four wheels and the suspension of a shopping cart to that of a mercedes.. I think it would be better if u shutup than make a fool of yourself. Mercedes is all about stability whether in the turns or straightaway. If u think that u need to go slower in a turn than u can keep that to urself bc im not buying it.. I drive a mercedes and have siblings with bimmers and have driven them and their cars dont have nothing on mine when it comes to turns

Maybe you are confusing caster with toe in...
-
Haha no :-) Have you seen the steering of a Harley Davidson? Really made for turns? ;-) You can think of a shopping cart if you want. It has 0 deg caster angel. Look at how the wheels want to behave when you push it forward in a straight line.. they are inherently "wobbly". You don't want that on Autobahn :) But of course they will be more stable when turning also. Any direction will be more stable. But changing direction will be slower.

where can i buy this calculator? it records pretty well!

@m96gran You are a dumbass and don't know what the hell your talking about. MB has this caster angle when turning the wheel for stability in turns, the exact opposite of what you are talking about. Think about it, when you are turning the wheel, the front tires are at an angle to keep you planted and to reduce understeer when taking a turn. Its kind of like a freeway off/on ramp, notice how they are tilted to keep you from understeering and going into a ditch?
Crap
its 3.5 liter vs 5.0 liter
BMW 550i vs E500 that would be a fair race but I bet your mercedes would be smoked hard by the bmw
