@Obelisk1990 Well if you had some knowledge of the worlds sports you would know that there were other sports which can use the Foot + Ball equation.
In my country, we play probably the most popular sport here, Gaelic Football. In Australia, aussie rules, in America, NFL. There are probably another few around the world which are football too. Again this supports my statement. So many more sports that use football as the most common term.

Penalising Botes for shouting? Is this even in the laws of rugby? Owens is crazy!!! I can understand there has to be a central figure and that is owens but seriously this is just plain sad!!!

@Obelisk1990 Another ignorant Brit? When will ye learn that almost every other country have their own version of football, we call it soccer because in our countries we have another sport we refer to as football. The world does not revolve around Britain and soccer fans.

Obelisk1990 - Whichever code of football you play in the UK surely you must know that Rugby Football is often abbreviated as Rugby and then further to Rugger. Association abbreviates to Soccer. For those who call the more manly game football they have to have a name for the version that is only football by association. Simple really.
