First week of my Medical assistant program 07/01/11

Monday -- three hour orientation the fourth (last) hour was spent in Urinalysis lab learning the different parts of the compound microscope. We also had the change to look at blood samples which was really cool.....it has been a long time since I sat in a classroom so pretty much everything will be what??!!, cool, awesome, or exciting to me. LOL!!


Tuesday- The sophomores, juniors, and senior introduced themselves to us and shared there study tips, advice. Meet the rest of the teaching staff. LOL!! I am a freshman!! LOL!!

Wednesday -- everyone said (admission rep, teaching staff, and upper classmen) by Friday and the first two weeks everyone feels overwhelmed. Well today was the day my feeling of being overwhelmed started today. OMG what have I gotten myself into. LOL!!

Thursday -- Today in Nursing Arts we started hand washing my skin is super dry. Two hour Anatomy & Physiology lecture. ECG lecture Next Friday we will begin ECG practical skills.

Friday -- 2 hour intro to computers & 2 hour Anatomy & Physiology lecture.

  • @hmbagwell1 Hello, you are welcome. My Medical Assistant Program is twelve months and the Vascular Technology Program is an additional eighteen months. I attended Carnegie Institute. What school do you attend and what classes are you taking now. Thanks for sharing. Take care. :)

  • @MedAsstVera I'm actually applying to the Sonography program at Wallace State next summer (I have a couple classes I'm taking these next two semesters that are prereqs). I am just very interested to see someone else's journey going back to school in the medical field. Can't wait to see more of your vids!
