Jeff Immelt, chairman and CEO of General Electric, speaks at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He discusses how GE drives innovation and growth on a large scale in such diverse fields as energy and health care. Immelt also offers advice to students on becoming leaders in today's global marketplace. (September 09, 2008)

The University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business is one of the world's leading producers of new ideas and knowledge in all areas of business - which includes the distinction of having two of its faculty members receive the Nobel Prize in Economics over the past 15 years. The school offers six degree-granting programs. Its mission is to develop innovative business leaders - individuals who redefine how we do business by putting new ideas into action, and who do so responsibly. The school's distinctive culture is defined by four key principles - question the status quo; confidence without attitude; students always; and, beyond yourself.

  • Jeffrey Immelt recently sold out America, GE will do this through a joint venture with a Chinese company, Aviation Industry Corp. of China (Avic). Avic makes avionics for CACC and for China's military -- including its stealth fighter. And this guy is Obama's head of job creation.

  • Among the most despicable companies ever to exist . . .

May we never repeat that mistake.

  • @akirafactor Fuck you, retard.

  • General Electric is, in part, responsible for the mortgage crisis. They own WMC Mortgage, a big subprime lender.

  • GE stock has collapsed from $60 to about $6.00 during this genius' reign. One of the best ever.
