Rush Limbaugh Explains how Americas "Poor" lives, from his June 15,2009 show.

Where do you draw the line from government giving idividual people special treatment. Giving money for peopel to live in a house then turning around and making other hard-working people pay tax on their house. Democrats love poor people becuase they "need" help so they make sure they have welfare and goverment money to make them feel good and make it look like they care but they DON'T. Democrats do this because it in discourages self-reliance and keeps the "poor" poor. The democrats need to keep the "poor" poor to survive. They aren't happy till they control your lives.

TRANSCRIPT:
"...suppose the same concept in health care attached itself to everything else that you consider vital. You know, we can't live without food, that's a necessity. Health care has become that in people's minds. So imagine the same kind of food care provided by the government. In fact, we've got it. Food stamps. You know, this is the only country where poverty leads to obesity.

Stop and think of that. And why is that? 'Cause with the food stamps you go in there and buy the Twinkies, the Milk Duds, six-pack of Bud, bag of potato chips, head home to one of your two color TVs as you live in poverty to watch the NFL on satellite TV, and turn off your cell phone so that you don't get interrupted. That's poverty in the United States, compared to elsewhere around the world."

  • @indiajesuslovesyou Right on man! You're exactly right! They want to create a dependance on government so that they can be the ones to give it to you so they get re-elected and more power to them. REAL compassion is not giving handouts but encouraging people to work and rely on themselves not a suppressing noncompassionate government. Government can not create wealth, remember, whatever money they spend it comes from you. And no matter how much money they tax, they will always spend it & more

  • Poor in America is a political design by the Democratic Party in insure its future at the expense of the citizens they are claiming they help! What a contradiction to the real help they need! Lipton Tea supporter! James Sasse.
