A great old tune in concert. For dulcimer players, this is an example of playing cross key on a dAD tuned dulcimer in the Key of A, no capo. The fiddle tune type leads are flatpicked across the strings using Key of A scale, a key that better suits my voice. You'll notice how the left hand resolves to the simple 101 chord and melody played as needed out of that. A very nice benefit of flatpicking all the strings.

  • Hey Gary,

Loved the adaptation of the old song.

    Great instrumental interludes.

Very interesting to me in that you look AWAY from your dulcimer during that time!

  • Just trying to find the 'zone' :) That is a nice thing about flatpicking the dulcimer...all the notes are just right there.
