Because they did'nt have a winner for some time, they initiated a bonus where they increased the top prize with $10,000 every show.

Hi....could someone please tell me why 2,180,000 dollars was the highest and not just 1 million dollars....it seems to be a really random prize sum!???...Im not from the US btw and so I'm just curious.....
