  • i had to sing this for my school and I did not like it cuase it was in latin why oh why did she ever pick it.

  • exactly my point from the beginning. not only were we all tired at this point, but we were left out of some of the important details. then again, some of the TMEA kids arent so worried bout the region concert since they're too confident that they'll make it to state.

  • this piece can be played with orchestra but they didnt get an orchestra so they have an accompanist

  • u can "mask a flaw" but its better to correct it.and as i listen to it again they were very "chuncky" in the sense that it hasnt give much direction to the line

  • by notes i meant there were a lot of dynamics that were left out and shouldve been noted by the clinician. i dont believe that a choir is great by means on how it "masks" its flaws, because you never "mask" a flaw, you correct it, and that's one of the many things our clinician left out during the choir concert.

  • what do u mean notes? and i agree when ur tired and the voice is tired that the high notes that the tenors and the basses at the end have can be killers but what makes a great choir stand out is that they can mask it...im by all means not say that i can do that 100% of the time but at least try. and the sopranos if they arnt agrering it should have been fixed with the clinician ..but it could be a one time thing but again pretty ok

  • you're actually half right, most of the choir directors in our region agreed that the clinician left out some important notes, especially in the dynamics part. plus, we weren't singing as one. you can tell easily that the sopranos are arguing within their sections, and you cannot really blame tenors for entering flat because we were all tired at this point plus they have a high part too.

  • it's not acapella..or at least not this one we sang

  • the accomp is cause they probably were having pitch probs. particular at melismas srry for spelling. sopranos control. tenors center, basses too. cleaner in melismas, use "h"'s or something plz. tenors dont sound like its really high. sopranos u may have " melody" but it shouldnt be all u. basses i know that the last melisma is really high and all that but dont push so much that u sacrifice beauty over all pretty ok.

  • Why is the accompanist playing with the choir? I thought it was an acapella piece.
