This was taken in early July of 2006. The sunken ship was located about 106 feet below sea level. I videotaped this while looking through a window in the submarine. (This submarine would have cost us $350+, but because we were kama'aina, it only cost us $108!)

  • The ship was stripped and sunk off the coast to form a new coral reef.

  • lol no its a sailboat

  • so cool

  • yea its the arizona from pearl harbor

  • Its called the "Naked Lady Wreck" and it lies in the outer harbor at Kailua-Kona. There's a story there which you can read by googling "Naked Lady Wreck Kona". Its a cool dive (there normally is a shark that hangs our there and a Mantis Shrimp not to far from the wreck on the sand.

Its not WWII, having been sunk (by a fire) many years after the end of the war.

  • woh the oil still comeing out

  • its a sailboat, looks like one of those used in the races. This is NOT a warship. The flat rudder on the stern and graceful lines make it out as a racing yacht.

  • a sailboat doesnt look like that this is probly sunken warship from WW2

  • I love Hawaii

  • YAWN. Its just somebody's lost sailboat.
