For a slighty remixed version of this awesome song on MPC, you should check out bbbzzz234's version :

High quality video and audio with a fading special recorded by MPC composer Rusty8984! He has done a lot of great compositions that you maybe didn't heard yet, so help yourself and go check his channel/compositions:

4th composition/video, 12-13 hours of work and experiments, completly by ear.

Uses cat333pokemon's Real 2,0 soundfont that JohnFreeman1337 suggested me. He was really right and the quality would not have been the same without it.

Sighly different from what I have done yet huh? This time, I decided to *up* my game a little and experiment with almost everything (dickspeed, soundfonts, volume control and low A glitch) because I do want to get better. Although I'll try this again sometimes, I'll not give up on the old school composing and I'll try to diversify my works.

So, the song itself comes from Mario & Luigi : Superstar Saga, one of the best GBA games ever. Mixes cleverly platform, action and RPG elements, I had a lot of fun in the 40 hours that I put into this game. It got too a lot of great music and one in particular, Oho Oasis, got me addicted the first time I heard it. Being relatively simple, I knew I had to do it.

It was not too hard and not too long to do which allowed me to put some time to, like I said earlier, experiment. I tried different instruments, levels of volume and glitches in order to get this one the most accurate and perfect possible. Even if it's not awesome, I do think it's decent and worthy of the original.

I hope that you will enjoy this composition from me and that people who were waiting for it (cheercomposerxo =P) will have their patience rewarded. For all the people who encouraged me, I'm saying thanks you for the support and this is for you!

I'm planning to do much more compositions, so more to come...how?...very slowly ;). A quite unknown Donkey Kong song comes next!

  • I nostalgia'd all over the place when I heard this.

  • @Flaminglog That "nostalgia'd" made me laugh a lot in the good way XD. Thanks a lot!

  • This one's really great. Most of the songs on Mario Paint (composer) fail at tune and rhythm but this one matches it perfectly. If I could give you a 20382018301283/5 I would :P And as you said it's really worthy of the real song.

    Great job :D

  • Please don't forget that MPC was first a program not made for maximum accuracy but to allow you to make reconizable and wacky sounding renditions. With all the soundfonts and high tempos now, those limits have almost disapeared, but some people still do want to stay with the limitations for the challenge, its unique style and more.

I do was aiming for maximum accuracy here though and glad to get very positivie feedback here. Thanks a lot! =)

  • Awesome. Really enjoyed

  • My, really happy to hear that and thanks for the feedback!
