Well, ladies and gentlemen, boys and ghouls, let's take a look at another Halloween Hot Spot for Chicagoland. So if we are taking about Halloween Hotspots you know we have to mention Boo at Zoo!! Boo At The Zoo at Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois is a four day event taking place the two weekends before Halloween and knows how to usher in Halloween right. Brookfield Zoo besides being home to hundreds of animals and many exhibits and attractions and serving as a beacon in the Midwest for animal conservation and celebration, Brookfield Zoo is home to Boo At The Zoo, a flagship event for the Zoo.
Boo At The Zoo activities included, first a special costume parade, where each goblin, goolie or princess can display their costume. Next there was a costume contest with awards given for various age groups and categories. Also yet again Kiddies could a get their Halloween motors a running with a special race track courtesy of Fisher Price. Also courtesy of Fisher Price was a wonderful wonderland of toys kiddies could play with. Also kids could have a Halloween ball in the Children's Zoo, featuring a variety of decorations, saying hello to all their barnyard friends, playing special games, skipping across the pond and building their very own scarecrow. Also once again their was a fun corn maze, letting all of our cute little monsters and gremlins try to get out of this maze. Also there was pumpkin carving. Kids also had the chance to ride the Haunted Carousel, and or get spooked in Hamil Family Play Zoo. And of course the highlight for me was seeing Beetlejuice driving the tractor for fun and exciting hayrides. So a funtime was had by all.
