Full Story: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story/united-breaks-guitars - In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. great way to get attention but what's with the sterotype of Mexicans?

@kloran Hey there, I’ve receive many “why the Mexicans” questions and the answer is simple. The music and feel of the song reminded me of a combination of old Marty Robbins and early Elvis tunes. Since “Fun In Acapulco” is my favourite Elvis movie, and in it he had a mariachi back-up band, I thought it’d be funny to have a mariachi group in this video. Because I didn’t have a budget for full mariachi outfits I simply bought sombreros and moustaches and the Amigos were born.

Dave, as a fellow musician I feel your pain. As a frustrated consumer fighting with a company a payment company and an internet sales org for almost a year with proof of payment and no product in hand,or coming... YOU INSPIRE ME!!! tonight I penned up the words to my vent it all out song. Even if I dont post a video I already feel a little vindication for the "little guy" meaning anyone on the smelly end of the stick in situation like ours. A personal thanks for the brain child. bahahaha, someone told me to watch this video after my luggage was lost by United, and spent 2 months travelling across the United States. Now the airline plans on merging with Continental, and I would never fly either airline again.
