never heard this tune. Thanks

To me thsi man was the epitomy of the Rockabilly sound a wwill never be bettered. RIP Carl... you were a legend then and always will be.

The reason Carl Perkins fell into Elvis' shadow was due to a car accident that sidelined Carl for a while. Almost messed up his guitar playing. Elvis recorded Blue Suede Shoes and the rest is history. These are facts that can be checked.

@moviemagg I heard the reason his carrer died is because he was supposed to be on Ed Sullivan but had a cold, so they clled Elvis to appear. And the rest is History.
-
@moviemagg Have you forgotten that Jerry Lee Lewis played piano at Sun and elsewhere with no ill effects?
-
If Elvis was the King, Then Carl Perkin's was the Prince of rock!!

You may keep most of the Sunrecordings of Carl. Jive after Five, and all the covers of legendary Rockclassics on Columbia are the best we know from Carl!
@moviemagg - i disagree. This is fine stuff! Good recording, great vocal, dig the piano, nice drums & fuzzy guitar. Recorded at Bradley Studios/Quonset Hut...where Gene Vincent & Blue Caps and Johnny Burnette Trio laid down the finest stuff of their careers! Owen B. and the A-list Nashville Cats were good company to be amongst. This track kind of reminds me of some classic Dale Hawkins recordings (Tornado, Yea-Yea (Class Cutter), Little Pig, Suzie-Q).
