Create extruded text and shapes easily in After Effects CS3 using the shape tool and the repeater effect. There might be other ways of doing this, but this is a nice, simple trick.

  • um, one stupid question, how u make this movie? :)

  • You mean how do I make the screen recording? I use FrontCam. Camtasia is better, but FrontCam is free. It doesn't record its video in sync with sound, in my experience, but it can easily be corrected. I then edit the captured video in Premiere before importing into AE to add the pans and zooms etc. Hope that helps.
