Naila was the second color film of Pakistan which was released in the mid of 1965.This film produced by G A Gul and directed by S Nayyer.Its story was adopted on the famous Novel of famous writer Razia Butt. Santosh Kumar and Shamim Ara were the leading actors of this film. The other actors were Derpan, Ragni, A Shah, Saqi Husna and Kumar ( Mughl-e-Azam fame) etc.This film obtained many awards and best film award of Nigar of 1965. Shamim are was declared as a best actor of the year 1965 due to this film. It was a unique record that this film was continuously exhibited for more than three years in Zafar Firdos Cinema Peshawar since from Dec 1965.
Naila is a story of two step brothers ie Zafar ( Satosh Kumar) and Akhtar (Derpan) who both loved their cousin Naila (Shamim Ara) but Naila loved Zafar from her childhood and never disclosed her love to Zafar. How ever their parents had make their engagement both of them from the very child hood.Zafar's mother was died when he was too young and his father married again and Akhter was born from his second wife.Akhtar who also loved Naila , in spite of knowing the fact that his step elder brother Zafar loved Naila very much and Naila had engagement with Zafar, insisted his mother to get her (Naila) to marry with him. Zafar who also loved his step brother very much, on the request of his step mother ,sacrificed his love and requested Naila to marry his brother Akhtar. Naila was first disagreed but on very humble request of Zafar, she, very heart heartedly agreed and Zafar broke his engagement with her. Nailla could not bear that and during wedding time with Akhtar, she made suicide by swallowing the diamond but before expiring , she met secretly in a bride dress with Zafar alone in back door lawn of the place where the marriage ceremony was going on and disclosed to him (Zafar) that she loved him from the child hood very much and could not live without him and then she tried to come near to him by asking to take her his arms Zafar slapped her by saying that now she was wife of Akhtar , Naila then fall down on the ground in critical condition and Zafar left away from her.The Akhtar, by chance saw him going in his car in hazard. And when Akhtar saw the condition of Naila , he ran to take Zafar back home and after great request and excuse Akhtar,took Zafar to Nailla to save her life as she only loved him and calling continuously for him in last moment of her life. But it was too late, the efforts Zafar of could not save her life and Naila took her last breaths in the arms of Zafar to whom she loved very much and who was his dearly lover only and thus then film ended.

NAILA -my most favourite movie. This movie & this song brings tears to my eyes--brings back all the beautiful nostalgia about those good old days--1962 to 1967 for MBBS in LAHORE. How beautiful were those days. Oh , MY GOD ,those days are gone for ever --gone but not forgotten. Beautiful & cute Shamim Ara --- lovely melodious songs--and youthful days in the company of friends. Will never forget those glorious times ,till my this earthly life is over. Thank you MTAZHAR,for this on youtube.

darbari rag is not found in the koran and the hadith. what is the use of these books. these raag come from the SAMA VEDA

But the film is not based on the teachings of mohammed and the arabic god allah. The scenes are like Indian films, the dialogues, the music and songs. what has allah the chosen ara god given to the muslim converts of pakistan. whay they do not have music given by allah as well as the siongs and music. The music in thier films are based on SAMA VEDAv

One of my favourite movies. I saw it in 1965 and than in 1979, all songs are melodious, Shamim ara lokks beutiful. This song in darbari raag is marvellous
