IT DOESNT WANT TO STOP !!

This engine is made by Hartley Enterprises, what they did was fuse two hayabusa's top-ends to a common crankshaft; to make a 75 degree V8. They tested the engine in a Caterham Super 7.

It makes 306 wheel horsepower, about 375 flywheel horsepower; Its ONLY a 2.6 Liter engine, and the engine rev's all the way to 10,500 rpm !

they also have a 2.8 Liter version that is even more astounding, the 2.8L makes 400 horsepower and 245 ft-lbs torque.

AND THE ENGINE ONLY WEIGHS 200LBS !!!!
JUST WAIT TILL THEY MAKE A SUPERCHARGER FOR THIS BEAST!!!

  • @yartins1 How can you tell that it's a Caterham? The Super 7 was originally made by Lotus and Caterham bought the rights to, but the cars look the same.

  • @yartins1 actually the caterham super 7 was developed and released by lotus so

  • Punished the dyno, for sure!

  • The sound that this thing makes is totally amazing.

  • @MammonDurden

Thats what im tryna explain to these guys haha

    THANK you

  • @GMisurdaddy

Are we talking F1 engines or Publicly obtainable engines?

Because any publicly available engine 2.0L with 500+ hps would have to have a big fat turbo BIG one, 9k is the highest revving engine you can buy in the s2000 but it has only 200 hp N/A, but again f1 engines are millions and millions of dollars to produce, this cost you 10-20k when you order it. there is NO 2.0L engine that makes 400 N/A

  • @firebird74521 so...if I take that 1400HP ecotec and de-tune it to say...500, maybe even 375HP...think it would be reliable then?

Wow are you people really THAT fucking stupid to think I would compare the engines for daily commutes?? It's about power per LITER! And there are many engines out there capable of making the EXACT same HP as this engine with less displacement. Clarified?

  • @KreatorOfDeath1985 Are you stupid? My original comment was the fact that the engine is "ONLY" 2.6L and makes 375HP, sorry but that just doesn't impress me. There are many engines that are 2.0L or just over that making 500HP reliably.

  • @GMisurdaddy

    Are you stupid?

seriously? those f1 engines are millions and millions, and have a lifespan of 500-700 miles on them.

This is 10-20k and will last as long as you take care of it

  • @sparkydustin699 i guess he read the description..

  • I find it amusing that people are comparing this with F1 engines. That's like comparing an F16 fighter to a Cesna. Millions of dollars worth of man hours and CFD development vs these guys in a commercial machine shop. This engine has been supercharged since and shoe horned into an Ariel Atom giving 500ph at the wheels so their not that far behind.

  • This engine is affordable, streetable & reliable and can be made to fit most cars. Cheaper than buying a new performance car. A 1400 HP Ecotech wouldn't go far on a highway before blowing up. The F1 is a millionaires novelty. Top fuel dragster is ultimate power king but useless off the track. This engine is available turbo charged with over 500 HP and is very light weight for it's power. You can put it in your Smart Car or anything else you want to drive and drive cross country.
