It's always sad knowing that a young person dies, even more if he or she is an actor we knew or we were fans of. Corey Haim's death is even sadder than others that unfortunately happened in the very last years ( Heath Ledgeger or Brittany Murphy) .
Yes, sadder because he was acclaimed when he was a young actor and then, when his career started getting down, all his "good"FAKE friends disappeared,letting him alone to fight with his "betes noirs", the nightmares and fears he had inside, Sadder because media did not give him the same attention they gave to other stars who shared with him such an unhappy end.
Sadder because Hollywood, ignored him for years, remebering of Corey Haims only in this tragic moment. Sadder since no one of the star system spoke for him; underlying how difficult is beeing a young star: tempted, cuddled, fakely loved by the entourage till the fame lasts and then left alone when, once grown up, the transition to interpret other roles becomes so difficult that one can fail.
Sadder because Nobody has the courage to say that maybe if helped, he could have overcome the problem raising from the ashes of his career and like, a phoenix ,starting shinig agian. ( Drew Berrymore and her brilliant present career his the brightest example of how this can happen)
But most of all it is sadder because everybody underlines his drug addiction as the cause of his death without knowing wether it is true or not. It seems like his heritage is only this: a young famous actor unable to enter in the adult star system, too week to carry the weight , falling into drug addiction to forget all this.
No one specifies that his problems with drugs started when he was famous,NOT AFTER when he tried to come out of it. Nobody mentions his successes and how people would have done everything for him just for an authograph!
Corey did 35 movies plus a tv career from 1984 to 2010.
All this MUST BE REMBERED to honour him and to RESPECT HIS FAMILY. This small video is my personal tribute to him, a sweet, young, maybe sensitive and surely disillusioned actor.
