i have this beast,using it for years in my band,both records and live performances,and man,it is great!Easy and intuitive to program(step by step,live),it has some heavy kick drums and snares.Minuses-no bass sounds and by the years drum pads becomes hard to press(i guess i have to open it and clean).Overall-if you like vintage sound of it,buy it.

can it correspond with garageband in anyway? any way you can put midi files on it?
so you just perform it with buttons and hope for the best?

I'm having some trouble with mine I can't get it to play the pattern I keep pressing the start button it was working fine until the other day I tried to plug the midi chord from my keyboard to it and now it won't play and the tempo and sync all say MIDI do I have to plug it back up is there away I can get around this to just use it seperately? could you please help me?

sweet kicks and all sound pretty decent ive been looking at getting one of these used but didnt know how well theyed fair for making hip hop beats so thanks it seems pretty good likely be gettin myself one soon
