Obviously Kim Deal didnt meet the expectations that Jason had of her before they met at that party. Although, If he bothered to write a song about it at all it probably tells us that he was a fan of hers before he met her. Feeling so let down by his own expectations inspired him to write the song. Thats why its better not to have expectations of anyone or anything.
