This music is soooo beautiful, so atmospheric, if you know what I mean. It perfectly fits Silmarillion's plot. J.R.R. Tolkien is a real wizard, he created such a deep world..

So sad that the HOBBIT was chosen, rather than this overlooked, and neglected masterpiece.
The Silmarillion is Tolkien!
It is the foundation that LOTR rests upon, and deserves the same effort that went into LOTR, it could easily make a further 3 films, on its own, and is worthy.

@Gourmeticainsularis1 It saddens me to see so many Tolkien fans believe that it's almost impossible to make it into a movie. It's as if they don't see.. But, anyway the greek myths and being made still into so many movies, like more than 12 already. Haven't you seen so many movies and TV Shows like Hercules about the Greek myths? Everything can be made into a movie. What is depicted into our minds by reading the Silmarillion, we can present it into the screen.

@Gourmeticainsularis1 Yes. Alive and well. he recently wrote and published the latest book of the Tolkien legacy called:"Children of Hurin" which was particularly good.

I just started reading, only up to page 54, but I can tell it's a masterful work of art. R.I.P. J.R.R Tolkein. Is his son still alive?

@RulerL0rd The Silmarrilion is amazing and is work of art, but it could not be made into a movie. To abstract, especially the beginning. Think about making the greek myths into a movie.

One of my Dreams is the Silmarillion to be made into a series of movies. And i also hope for it to be directed by Peter Jackson and his crew, like in the Lord of the Rings. I hope that after the Hobbit this will be next. I know its difficult but those who know, just think about it! Ah!!!
