The Road To Glory: The African Hero Promo

The Organization of African Students Cordially Invites you to:

The 7th Annual African Pageant "The Road to Glory: The African Hero".

Come partake in witnessing Temple's finest compete in a pageant celebrating the Beauty and Excellence of African culture in a delving into African Heroism: using history, art, music, theater, clothing and other trends all while paying respect to Africa's traditions.

Come dressed in your finest attire, dine, and mingle with those in attendance and be prepared to cheer on your favorite contestant.


This year's pageant to will allow you to follow Eight Contestants on their journey to heroism. Get your imagination ready for a comic-book adventure, because the contestants are all equipped with supernatural powers that will allow them to not only be Everyday-Heroes-- they will now be able to use their special powers to use it for the good of the continent.

HOWEVER,
Before being granted these super-powers, the contestants must understand the challenges African heroes like Nelson Mendela, Kwame Nkrumah, and Jomo Kenyatta faced prior to their success and notoriety. Mendela was imprisoned for his political stance, Nkrumah faced political challenges and exile, and Kenyetta also was imprisoned for his beliefs. These prestigious figures are now heroes because of the adversity they faced during their Road to Glory.

These contestants are not only competing to become the next royal court of OAS, but will be the next Hero's of African people around the Diaspora.
