Here's a vid from a foam j3 cub grasshopper using a spy cam/ gum cam (640 x 480). My first upload :), too much vibration caused the wavy video (water effect), next time i'll stick some sponge between the plane & the cam.

music: Seal - Crazy

  • is it easy to turn in the air using the rudder

  • @PilotBilly27 i didnt fly this plane but i did put the camera on it and help out.

i asked him about the rudder and he said if its new it might be a bit stiff, keep moving it with your hand to loosen it up a bit before connecting the pull/ push rod.

  • I have just got one of these and would like to know if yours came with ailerons, mine did but there just still you cant move them. And also mine doesnt have much affect when you lift up or down and when you use the rudder. Finally is it easy to turn in the air using the rudder.

  • @PilotBilly27 i think its like that just to make the plane look more realistic (the ailerons are fixed on this one too)

the rudder and elevator's work well enough, if they're not moving enough you can adjust them by unpluging the plastic part at the end of the metal rod and chosing a diferent whole, twist the plastic bit on the end to make it shorter/ longer... good luck

  • @streamallday thanks i will try this and should get flying shortly by the way what do the weather conditions have to be like cos here its quite snowy although it is not snowing anymore but there is snow on the ground.

  • @PilotBilly27 the weather's like that here in the uk as well, the best time too fly would be in the summer when there's no wind (there's less wind in the summer plus you dont freeze to death and the warm air helps it fly a bit better)

The most important thing you have to watch out for is the wind, the less wind the better and warm air/ a clear sky helps as well :)

you can fly in the winter but you have too wait longer for a good day because of the wind.

  • so thats how google maps get there pictures

  • @streamallday sorry about spellings i ment to say think and plus

  • @streamallday I have took it out but sort of crashed it and both propellers snapped but i thinm i might just get another plane the problem is it is hard to turn using a rudder pus a new propeller costs £5.00.

  • I am in the UK too the weather is evil.
