yes it does. the orange cap will screw off, which opens up the threading. i broke the orange tip off of this removable piece, as i found i like the effect it has. with out it, the noise of the shot is increased.

i took it off. its a cap that snapped off. its not supposed to come off, but is easily broken off without damage to the barrel.

all you need is a scope and some scope rings compatable with the scope yo are using. make sure they are weaver rail compatable as well.
