whoever says a tune is crap, well, it's an opinion and therefore wasted breath.

I agree totally with whoever said "Caber Feidh" is a crappy tune. It is a clinker. I hate it as a strathspey, and I hate it as a march. I think it works as a jig, though. I just do not like the melody. There are very few big, popular tunes for bagpipes that I do not like, and this is one of them. It's just, well -- how does one say it? -- not a nice melody.

Totally agree with blackie on this one, great tune, always impressive when à band approaches with this tune !

i challange anyone, to stand seeingg that band coming towards them, playing that piece, to call any part of it crappy. in real life, this will blow you away. video just doesnt do it justice

though i'm an uilleann piper, i've always admired and respected the 78th!!!!

Thank you! And like you I love the pitch their chanters are at. I can't play mine shapr though due to the fact I'm an awfully irregular blower. One day though eh? *sigh*

No Canqpiper. I'm not from Quebec. I'm from Durham North East England originally. Would love to visit Quebec one day though :)

I dont know how anyone can say that the "MARCH" Caber Feidh is crap....expecially knowing the history behind that tune and considering every world class Pipe band plays it. Its a brilliant March, Strathspey and Reel!!!! Please give your goddamn head a shake!!!

what the hell dude? you comment about how crappy you think the tune is musically???
how about how well the 78th frasers played it???

I agree; "Caber Feidh" is musically crap. The jig version is okay, but the march (and the strathspey) is a crappy piece.
The punch from this tune is just amazing, and the bass really helps with the attack

i just realized how tight their drum corps is. i love the pitch that their pipe's are at. gives it a "WAH" effect
