EF81-133号機と12系客車と24系客車を繋いだ乗務員訓練が行なわれました。
これは、折り返しの回9502レを撮影した動画です。
EF81形電気機関車は、寝台特急の北斗星やカシオペアの牽引機として活躍してきましたが、2010年6月を最後に定期運行からは撤退しました。
EF510形電気機関車が故障したときや、トラブルがあった時は、この機関車が牽引することもあります。
