Yes, my goof. The 39 series was turboed while thwe 38 wasn't. Thanks for catching that :)
-
very realistic, put up more videos of this locomotives on the track, send me the video
-
You are correct the SD39 was Turbo charged 12cyl 645
-
Awsome builds by the way! put it as one of my favorites! Five stars.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the SD39 was Turbo charged and the SD38 was not. Unless this is a non turbo specific to this SP road#

Espee,
Another compliment to you on something that some modelers over look when installing sound in 2nd generation EMD models. . Your SD39 has the correct 645E "non-turbo" engine sound, while your Tunnel motor has the 645E3 "turbo" sound (obviously 20 cylinder). The whine is quite audible. That's excellent!
what kind of track is that?

It is hand laid dual gauge N-HO so I can test both HO and N scale loco's on the same test track.

Excellent! Sweet sound of EMD units. I can hear turbo in the Tunnel Motor. BTW: Is the horn a Nathan M5?

I think the horn file that was in 5318 at the time this video was taken was a Nathan P-5. 99% of SP's loco's had Nathan P-3's but I like the P-5. The nice think with LOKsound is you can change the sound files with the click of a mouse. The sound files in these loco's have been updated many times sence this video was taken. I do have a Nathan M-5 horn file in my WP Cal Zephyr F units I should take a video of them. My friend Paul does my horn sound files. He recorded them off the real deal. Joe
