Yes! It's definitely possible to modify the MC-505...This is just a quick (and shitty) run-through before I post the how-to tutorial over at trebledeathsystem . com For those who are curious, the MIDI, effects, sequencer, and D-Beam controller are completely unaffected. Furthermore, absolutely no post audio effects were added...all sounds are coming from the 505. The tutorial will be posted very, very soon. In the meantime please visit radiograffiti . org for more info.

I'm all for circuit bending stuff, but the mc 505 is awesome and you mostly made it sound like shit. why so many knobs, all they make is static. this pisses me off because I really want an mc 505 and theres idiots who have money for them and this is what they do.

No, the 505 does not have anything like that. I think the MC-808 can do that though.

Can you program your own recorded drums sounds into the 505 and make a beat? Like if I record the sounds from my drumkit as a wav file, can I import them into the 505 and make beats that way?

some very interesting results! I am impressed. I think you have proved there is good reason to modify a more sophisticated digital device. Nice work
