How is Kobe better than Jordan? I'm a Kobe fan and I have to say this is just false. Kobe is one of the best shooting guards of all time but he still didn't surpass Jordan for many reasons, really I don't care. Kobe is to L.A. what Jordan was to Chicago, I love Kobe even if he isn't better you are just delusional

I dont see why we need to argue this,just enjoy Kobe for Kobe because just like Mike before you know it he will be gone and we will be comparing Kobe to some young gun. That is just basketball. I personally think that,while no one will ever be BETTER than MJ,Kobe is nearing the point that MJ was from 96-98 when the game just came so easy and he played so relaxed. What little MJ had lost physically by that point was made up for with deadly consistent fadeaway and mind games over opponents.

The reason why Kobe will never be like Mike or surpass MJ, is because he doesn't have the superstardom OVERALL as a WHOLE. Mike was an legend that yes scored alot of points, but he was a motivator, he had a way of making his team feel like superstars and get to that level. Kobe caused confrontations, drama, not really a team player, but an individual. There were alot of games that the Lakes lost but Kobe had over 30pts. Go figure-

The thing that is hard for me to understand is how someone could like Mike and not like Kobe? They have so many of the same strengths and both have the brain for the game and are able to just toy with defenders and play mind games with opponents. I like both and loved to watch MJ and love to watch Kobe now. Both are/were complete players yet both had to learn how to grow into that player. I say...just enjoy both and while it is fun and interesting to debate it is all a matter of opinion.

When MJ was in his prime, he won the championship, finals mvp, league mvp, all-star mvp, scoring title, and selected 1st team all-defensive. If you don't call that domination, I don't know what you call it. Kobe will never be able to do that all in one season.
