i am sorry guys but a Supercharged 4.4 V8 should of killed the M5. instead an almost stock M5 walked on that 540. i dont see no point of ALPINA. they messed up with the Z8 also putting a 540's Engine. They should do a Better tunning job like ahmm ACSchintzer, Dinan ...

ALPINA has a very good point, they are M5 with more comfort and autmatic gearboxes. Not for track use :)

@KarenPonch I think you may be mixing the models up. The new B5 (E60 shape) has the 4.4L supercharged V8. This is a E39 model B10 (as the video title says) which has a N/A 4.8L V8 making 375BHP. Also the M5 probably has different gearing which makes it faster as well as its 400bhp and God knows how much lb/ft torque from its 5L V8. Alpina's are more continent cruisers with more luxury than the Beast(M5).

Alpinas = Less value for money. Excample:

The E34 B10's are "rare" nowadays in some countries and some people don't even wish to sell them. And here comes the funny point:

People who ARE willing to sell them, say that the price tag is at least 25.000€.

That's where car dealers and other people laugh at their faces: The E34 B10's are worth, a max. of 8000€. LESS than a standard E34 M5. Why? Fuel economy, safety, gas mileage, condition, not an original BMW and natural aspiration.

Why should a V8S smoke the S62 after 140km/h?

The S62 has more Horsepower and the better transmission, even if the Alpina is a little bit lighter.
