How can it be looking for something it has never met? He/she was abandoned in an egg under the sand, aside with 99 other eggs.
This is one lucky surviver, who has proven worthy to pass on his/her genes to the next generation of turtles.
Turtles doesn't follow the same reproduction pattern as humans. They are most likely never going to meet their mom, and evolution never ment them to do so. They are left entirely on their own.
