[LoL Guide] How to Play: Shyvana, the Half-Dragon

My Runes:
3x Greater Quintessence of Fortitude
9x Greater Seal of Vitality
9x Greater Glyph of Focus
9x Greater Mark of Desolation

Summoner Spells:
Flash: Can be used to close gaps and escape, but is also good in conjunction with your ult if you need to initiate and are too squishy to stay in and take the hits.
Exhaust: GREAT to stop enemies from getting away, and very nice to stick on champions with a very high kill priority to ensure you'll get them down.

Build Order (Pretty flexible):
Cloth Armor + Health Pots (5x) - Boots of Speed/Wriggles Lantern - Zerker Greaves/Merc Treads - Frozen Mallet - Wit's End - Sunfire Cape/Atmogs/FoN? Madreds? Shyvanna's end-items are where things begin to get very fuzzy. It very much depends on what type of game you're having and how tanky you need to be. Sunfire works great with her W, and is a nice roundy tank item. I've read in many places that Madred's is theoretically a great item for Shyv, but given it's magic damage-based weirdness, and the fact I usually play Shyv as strictly a fighter-tank, I've never used it. I have tried Atmogs a few times on her, which works well as it does on any tanky dps. Shyv is still a new champion, so feel free to try out different items and see what works best for you! :)

Skill Order:
W - Q - E (Max Ult) (Max W) (Max Q) (Max E)

As a side note, by making this guide I am not claiming to be an elite video game master or a professional LoL player. Just want to offer people crash courses through new champions they are considering playing. =D

I suggest maxing E before Q. From lvl's 1-5 Q's dmg only increases from 80% to 100% of you AD while E will increases from 80-260. Also E will give you an extra 40 dmg every time you auto attack at lvl 5. Along with a lower cooldown to apply the armor shred more, you can see a noticeable increase in damage from maxing E first.

always loved your shyvana play. Top Notch. The only real downside to having the dragon lesbian in the jungle is as you said the lack a real gap closer and the lack of a stun or a slow. Level 6 is when shit hits the fan with her, hiding in the brush and waiting for them to over extend and then they'll be like "ZOMG!! DRAGON!!" ^_^

Shyvana is one of my main champion I use. I build her as a with:

- Trinity Force

- Boots

- Wits End

- Sunfire Cape

- Madreds Bloodrazor

- Blood Thirster

I do very well with this build.

I think that when there are no casters/AP nukers, it's good to swap out Wit's End for a Madreds (that is the perfect situation for it basically)
