@taiwanlong there could be germs at the base of the tank and when ur betta tail is dragging on the floor it caught germs and it start to rot

Try cleaning the water on regular bases and also feed them with blood worms. It works wonders. U can see ur betta getting bigger, healthier with a much brighter tail.

@Freestuyl a normal betta costs about 8-9 dollars idn germany 5€ u need a Heather and a Airpump and the best size of the tank is a 5-10gallon ^^ whith plants hen he livs longer

You need to take care of the water. Use aged water with antichlorine. and change water on a regular basis.
